Lloyds
Environmental invited to Ghana Delegation
February 2006
A representative from waste management company Lloyds Environmental
has returned from an event in Ghana, which was organised
as a means of creating teamwork between environmental companies,
UK organisations and their counterparts in Ghana.
The British High Commission invited several environmental waste
specialists, including Lloyds Environmental, to the Environmental
Industries Sector Unit (EISU) led initiative.
The delegation was led by Douglas Barnes, the head of EISU,
a division within UK Trade and Investment.
He said: "EISU is supporting this programme under the Technology
Partnership Initiative (TPI), which seeks to provide information
about innovative and appropriate environmental technologies and
solutions to rapidly developing and industrialising countries around
the world.
Tim Duncan, Account Manager at Lloyds Environmental represented
the company in Ghana. He said: "We had a busy programme of
events, making presentations and discussing collaborative work
at the main seminar and carrying out site visits. Our main focus
of the delegation was Water and Waste Water Treatment. We
were delighted to be invited to this event and hope to continue working with
our partners closely in the future"
