Lloyds Environmental Win 3 Year EDF Energy Contract
July 2006

In June 2006 Lloyds Environmental were awarded the contract to provide all Hazardous Waste Disposal Services to the largest energy provider in the UK, EDF Energy, better known previously as London Energy, Seeboard Energy and SWEB Energy.

Our task is to deal with all hazardous materials being produced and disposed of at their network of sites throughout the UK, predominantly in the south of England. This is a 3 year contract and will run alongside our existing agreement with EDF Energy to supply on-site Emergency Response Services, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, a contract which has been running very successfully now for over 12 months.

EDF Energy company ethos believes in sustainable energy, integrating the latest technology and energy systems with best environmental practice, which matches our environmental policy to protect of the environment, minimise waste, encourage recycling, re-use and heat-recovery, wherever possible.

EDF Energy supply around 25% of the UK consumer base with their electricity power via their distribution networks in London, the South East and the East of England and are a huge investor in major new infrastructure projects in the UK, investing around £6 billion into public infrastructure assets.
